SPRINGFIELD, MA- On Senior Day in Springfield, two NCGA teams met in Blake Arena and the home Springfield College Pride posted a 186.650 as the visiting Rhode Island College Anchorwomen scored a 179.600.
Seniors Taylor Jackson, Tali Twomey, Victoria Gendreau, Taylor Campagnone, Sarah Murphy, and Brooke Hensen would be honored for their time with the team and all made appearances on the competition floor during the day. The senior class is currently a critical part of the Springfield line up and has been an important part of the team’s fortunes in their time at SC.
It wold be Jackson and teammate Ali Rushlow who had the best Vault score of the day of 9.55, followed by Kaitlyn Lindsay also of SC who had a 9.250 and RIC’s top Vaulter, Kyndel Yett who scored a 9.2.
On Bars, SC’s Sara King ruled over the meet with her 9.5 score followed by fellow Pride member Alana Calabrese who had a 9.475 and both Tori Sipes and Lena Morant of SC had 9.4s. RIC’s best score came from Kelsey Gates as she posted an 8.95.
RIC’s Grace Davis won Beam with her 9.375, with Murphy placing second thanks to a 9.350, and Sipes was third with a 9.325.
Finally on Floor, Rushlow won the event with a strong 9.675, as Twomey flipped to a 9.65 and Campagnone scored a 9.55. Chandler Lynn of RIC led her team’s best rotation of the day with a 9.4.
