Hello there and welcome to another edition of Glaive Volleyball. This is just covering Tuesday and a few games that happened over the weekend on Sunday they were just a few so let’s just cut out the introduction and get right to the games. Bridgeport took on Pace. Won that one three to two in five sets. Molloy took on Southern Connecticut State University. The Owls swept Molloy three to nothing. New Haven beat Adelphi three to one. St Joseph beat Albertus Magnus 3 to 1 in the meeting of Connecticut foes. Hannah Benson had 21 kills, five Aces for Saint Joseph in the win. Springfield took on Coast Guard. This one went 2 5 set among very very strong teams. That in the end the Pride got it winning 3-2. Sophia Galdamez had 27 kills for Coast Guard though in the losing effort. Also an interesting of note reading the Springfield release. In the third-set Springfield ran out of substitutes and they actually had on their front line two of their defensive specialists. Not an ideal situation and then the set when it was going into extra points and they still managed to win the set anyway…so kudos to them on managing to pull it out under a not ideal situation. In other action Manhattan took on Quinnipiac. Quinnipiac swept Manhattan three to nothing. Fairfield swept Iona three to nothing and Albany defeated Hartford 3 to 1. That’s all I’ve got for you hope you’ll tune in it again.
