NEW HAVEN, CT – The Yale Bulldogs gymnastics squad put up a 193.025 compared to Bridgeport’s 187.7 and Rhode Island College’s 186.850 Sunday afternoon on Senior Day. Yale honored five Seniors and a Junior who were having their last meet in JLA.
Yale’s Raegan Walker won Vault with a 9.725, as teammate Gigi Sabatini flew to a 9.7 and Bridgeport’s Joanna Chambers and Yale’s Aimee Titche each had 9.675s. Sophia Damiano of RIC had the team’s best score of 9.575.
On the Bars, Sarah Wilson of Yale had the best score of the day with a 9.850. Walker’s 9.75 was second and Sabatini placed third with a 9.7. Abigail Kenney was first among UB Purple Knights thanks to a 9.55 and Olivia Keyes posted a 9.525 to lead RIC.
On Beam, Walker hit a 9.9 to take the crown, as fellow Bulldog Hana Strause put up a 9.775 and Sabatini landed a 9.725 as did RIC’s Emma Tucker. Olivia Imbarlina was first among Bridgeport gymnasts with a 9.6.
On Floor, Strause won with a 9.825, just ahead of Wilson and RIC’s Kelsey Gates who tallied 9.8s. Keyes and Sabatini were right behind with 9.7s. Imbarlina and Kenney’s 9.65 made them first among Knights.
In the All Around, Sabatini’s 38.825 was ahead of the 38.375 put up by Keyes. Tucker had a 37.625 and Kenney led Bridgeport with a 37.325.
