NEW HAVEN, CT – In the Tonry Invitational Sunday afternoon, Yale posted a 194.075, Southern Connecticut scored a 192.275 and Bridgeport tallied a 191.325. The meet honors the late Barbara Tonry and her husband Don. Tonry served as Yale’s Gymnastics Coach since the team’s inception and passed away in 2021.
Lexi Bracher of SCSU took first on Vault with a 9.750. A slew of athletes posted 9.725s, Brianna Dorr of SCSU, Oren Aviad, and Gigi Sabatini of Yale, and Jordan Streete and Joanna Chambers of Bridgeport.
Raegan Walker of Yale placed first on Bars with a 9.85, teammate Sherry Wang had a 9.75, SCSU’s Hannah Stahlbrodt posted a 9.725, and Chambers led Bridgeport with a 9.625
Angel Lee of Southern was first on Vault with a 9.875, fellow Owl Maria Damiano put up a 9.825, Emma Mangiacapre of Yale had a 9.8 and Hanna Barry led Bridgeport with a 9.725.
Hana Strause of Yale captured first on Floor thanks to a 9.8, Riley Meeks also of Yale, and Ciana Rios of SCSU had 9.775s, and Olivia Imbarlina had Bridgeport’s top score on the event with a 9.675.
Lola Sepulveda of UB tallied the top All-Around score of 38.275 ahead of teammate Kieran Ross and a 37.
