SPRINGFIELD, MA – Springfield College hosted a four way quad to kick the season off Sunday afternoon, and Yale posted a 191.525, followed closely by fellow New Haven team Southern Connecticut State University’s 189.475, Brown’s 189.275, and Springfield’s 182.3. it should also be noted Springfield only was able to put up five gymnasts on Vault which increased their risk with no score available to drop.

Alyssa Garner of Brown was first on the day on Vault with her 9.775, followed by Alyssa Firth of Yale’s 9.75, fellow Yale Bulldog Aimee Titche’s 9.7, and their teammate’s Jade Buford and Rebecca Chong who each 9.675. Emily Balasco had Southern’s best with her 9.55 and Taylor Jackson set the high mark for Springfield with her 9.45.

Yale’s Reagan Walker scored a 9.825 in her first NCAA meet to tie with Brown’s Mei Li Costa for first on Uneven Bars. Hannah Stahlbrodt of SCSU and Jacey Baldovino of Yale weren’t far off with 9.75s Sara King had the best SC performance on a tough event for the team when she swung to a 9.175.

On the Beam, Emma Firmstone took first with a 9.775 followed by Lindsay Chia and Charlotte Cooperman from her Bulldogs compatriots as they had 9.75s. Stahlbrodt posted a 9.65, and Jordan Peloquin a 9.625. Taylor Campagnone’s 9.575 for SC tied Costa.

Firth would win Floor with a strong 9.825 followed closely by the Bulldogs Coooperman and her 9.775. Campagnone and Peloquin each had 9.75s. Erin Howell had a 9.625 for Brown.

In a crowded All Around field, Stahlbrodt had the best score of 38.4 Buford had a 37.95, Brown’s Jasmine Lee scored a 37.50 and Firth had a 37.325. Brown’s Sophia Petrillo posted a 36.75 as the last of the All Arounders.
