SPRINGFIELD, MA – On Friday night, UW-Whitewater Warhawks took the NCGA Team Title with a 193.7 score solidified by the meet’s best effort on Balance Beam. Lisa O’Donnell of UWWW also took the All Around with her 38.675.
UW-La Crosse took second with a 192.550, Brockport led all NCGA East teams with a 191.350, Hamline scored a 190, Cortland a 189, and Ithaca a 188.175. Beam would cause rough days for most of the other teams in the competition.
Candis Kowalik of Brockport scored a 38.5 for second place in the All Around, just ahead of Tori Erickson of UW-Eau Claire’s 38.375, and Brooke Terry’s 38.275. Samantha Wiekamp of UW-L Crosse scored a 38.075 as well. Amanda Malo of Gustavus Adolphus posted a 37.475, Heather Brubaker of Ursinus added a 37.450, and Ali Rushlow scored a 37.425. All the gymnasts above earned All America status.
