Noticed Plays.
(This is a not exhaustive very imperfect list of noticed plays that might not make the score sheet. It is very possible a player has far more of any sort of play than are noticed in the heat of action. It is what it is. Read these more as a player had “at least” what is noted here. Note the language is a bit stilted, I’m trying to figure out how to make the information flow better.)
Quinnipiac
Taylor House
Had two clears on penalty kill in addition to being a part of the offense.
Kenzie Lancaster
Had numerous zone entries including for a scoring chance and including one from end to end of the rink. Had other zone exits from the QU zone. Also got to the puck in the offensive end to lead to a team scoring opportunity.
Grace Markey
She collected the puck multiple times and moved it out of the defensive zone, including several times where she had to fight it across the blue line. She also stole the puck the in that end and started moving it out. Additionally she intercepted an opposing pass in the offensive zone.
Abby Cleary
Had multiple zone entries including for a team scoring chance. Also intercepted a Yale pass. Additionally she got to the biscuit in the Yale end and sent it to a teammate for a scoring opportunity.
Laura Lundblad
Sent it out of the Quinnipiac goal mouth to relieve some pressure. Also in addition to at least one zone entry for a shot attempt, she got to a puck in the Yale end for a scoring chance. She also kept the puck in the zone which led to a teammate’s scoring opportunity.
Shannon Cherpak
Disrupted a zone entry and also stole the puck from a Bulldog in the QU zone and started to move the puck out of the end. Also had a zone entry, and a zone exit. She also kept the puck within the Yale blue line to preserve the offensive possession, and got to a puck in the Bulldogs side.
Kenzie Prater
On the power play had a scoring chance, and also kept the puck from escaping the zone. Stole the puck at least once in the Yale end at even strength, and also acquired the puck other ways several time in the opposing zone in addition to a zone entry.
Raquel Pennoyer
Had a zone entry at even strength, on the power play, and on the penalty kill (in that case she fought the puck out of the QU zone.) At least one of these resulted in a scoring chance.
Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout
Had a large number of zone entries including one that led to her goal and she grabbed the puck when it was already in the Yale area several times. Many of these possessions generate shots. She also got to the puck in the defensive end and moved it out. She also collected the puck in the neutral zone and a team attempt on the net followed.
Brooke Bonsteel
Had at least one zone entry, also came upon the puck in the opposing zone for a scoring opportunity. She also prevented the puck from leaving the Yale zone.
Randi Marcon
Had a noticed zone entry, but is clearly a larger part of the game than these notes indicate.
Kate MacKenzie
Disrupted at least two zone entries and in one case moved the puck back out herself. Also kept the disc from crossing the Yale blue line to elongate the offensive possession.
Anna Kilponen
At the point she prevented the puck from leaving the Bulldogs zone many times, including on the power play. Several of these plays led to scoring chances. She also stole the puck in the Bobcats zone and started moving it out. On the penalty kill she disrupted a zone entry and sent it to Lancaster who cleared it. She also disrupted a Yale scoring try.
Renee Saltness
In several cases moved the puck out of the defensive end, including a major effort to push it across the line. Also had a zone entry, and at another point fought it into the Yale zone so MacKenzie could get a scoring try.
Kati Tabin
Extracted the puck from the Bobcats zone several times, including once after a steal. Also had a scoring chance on the power play, and an even strength zone entry.
Alicia Barry
Moved the biscuit away from the defensive zone many times, also flummoxed a Yale attempt on the Bobcats net,had a steal in the QU zone, and also a zone entry.
Yale
Rebecca Foggia
Intercepted a pass in the offensive zone. Also moved the puck away from the Yale end after Souliotis sent it to her. At another point, grabbed the puck in the defensive zone and moved it away.
Lauren Moriyama
Intercepted a QU centering pass and initiated the zone exit. She also got it in the defensive zone another time and eventually a team scoring chance followed. She also disrupted another QU effort.
Mallory Souliotis
She skated the puck out of the Yale zone many times, including one time with Pensavalle. She also stole the puck from a Bobcat in her zone and sent it to Foggia who got it the rest of the way out. Additionally deflected a QU pass out of the zone as well. On the penalty kill she had at least three clears and one of her blocks came on the PK. Had several zone entries too including after getting in the way of a Quinnipiac pass.
Emma Vlasic
Disrupted a QU scoring chance, and also battled to get the puck out of the blue and white zone. She also swiped the puck from an opponent and extracted it from the d-zone. She intercepted a Bobcats pass and brought it instead back into their zone. She also had a steal within the offensive zone and at another point came upon the puck and passed it leading to a team scoring opportunity. Had several other zone entries including at least two more that lead to chances.
Christina Kao
Had at least one scoring chance.
Courtney Pensavalle
Had multiple zone entries, including for a scoring chance. Also had a clear on the penalty kill and skated the puck away on the PK too. She grabbed a puck in the offensive zone and sent it to Tinker for a scoring chance. Additionally had a steal in the Yale end and also threw a wrench in a QU zone entry.
Kara Drexler
During the PK got the puck and sent it to Skarzynski for a clear. Also had a scoring chance on the power play. At even strength was responsible for keeping the puck within the blue line of the QU zone several times.
Kaitlin Gately
Had at least one zone entry, and played a larger role than these notes indicate.
Sophie Veronneau
In addition to a zone entry, she transitioned the disc out of Yale country many times, including once after a steal.
Laura Anderson
Collected the puck in the defensive zone and moved it out, also stopped a zone entry on the penalty kill and moved the puck to Veronneau. Her stick also got on a QU pass in the Bulldog zone and she skated away with it. She disrupted QU at another point, and during a power play skated it out and sent it to Monaghan for a scoring chance. She also had another zone entry, and a steal in the QU zone leading to a scoring opportunity.
Emily Monaghan
Had several zone entries including one for a scoring try. She also broke in on the Quinnipiac net during a power play and had a clear on the penalty kill.
Julia Yetman
From her position high in the QU zone prevented the puck from leaving several times. Also had a zone entry for a team scoring try on the power play. She also disrupted a zone entry, and also got to the puck in the D-zone and started it out many times. On the PK she had at least one clear.
Jordan Chancellor
Had numerous zone entries, and also stole the puck from a Bobcat in their zone as well. She even brought it across the QU line on a penalty kill to waste some time. She also disrupted one of their centering passes during their attack.
Greta Skarzynski
Had numerous zone entries and several resulted in scoring opportunities including once after swiping the disc from an opponent. Another time she came up with the puck already in the zone. Also battled to get the puck out of her own zone several times and had other more fluid zone exits including after a steal. She also intercepted a QU pass in the zone and exited with it. She also cleared the puck on the penalty kill after a feed from Drexler.
Saroya Tinker
Did a lot defensively, also got it out of the Yale goal mouth once, had a zone exit, and clearly had more than that. Also kept the puck within the QU zone for an attack.
