Gymnastics: Army at Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Springfield College Pride Men’s Gymnastics team scored a 387.450 in their final home meet of the season as the visiting Army West Point Black Knights posted a 395.300

Stephen Lewis of Springfield took first on Floor with a 13.850 as Army’ Leo Genders led his team with a 13.4. On Pommels, Chris Graff posted a 13.9 to take first place, and Elijah-Ty Phelps had Army’s best score of 13.350.

On Rings, Springfield’s Joshua Dieker posted a meet leading 14.050. His teammate Chris Graff had a 13.9. Ryan Wilson had Army’s best score of 13.650. On Vault it was Seth Cannon and Wilson of the Black Knights who took first with 14.250s. Lewis had the Pride’s top score of 14.00.

On Parallel Bars, Nathan Goff of Army had the best tally of 13.9 as Graff led the Pride with a 13.150. In the final event of High Bar, Genders posted a 14.050, Goff had a 13.8 and Alejandro Tombrink also of Army had a 13.6. Jannik Haas put up SC’s best score of 13.150.

Army didn’t put up any All-Arounders. Graff had a 80.2 and Lewis a 76.5. Senior Nick Jama competing in his last home meet had a 13.0 on the floor.

Head Coach Steve Posner also presided over his last home meet at Springfield after announcing his retirement after 35 years in the position.
