Gymnastics: Bridgeport Quad

BRIDGEPORT, CT- In a Tuesday night contest, the host University of Bridgeport Purple Knights posted a 194.450. The Brown University Bears scored a 193.415, Southern Connecticut State University Owls had a 190.350, and Rhode Island College scored a 182.950.

Kimberly Stewart of UB scored a 9.825 to take Vault. Brown’s Caroline Morant hit a 9.775 for second to lead her team. Alexandra Lesperance was first among Owls with a 9.65, and Kyndel Yett flew to a 9.575 for the top RIC score.

Thomara Powell-Brown and Christine Liautaud of UB scored 9.75s for the best Bars scores. Anya Olson of Brown led her team with a 9.7 and Kathleen Aberger’s 9.625 was the best Owls tally. Yett led RIC with a 8.925.

Bridgeport’s Brianna Comport took the beam with a 9.95 (including a 10 from one judge), Morant had a 9.85, and Rotem Porat’s 9.825 was the highest SCSU score. Grace Davis paced Rhode Island College with her 9.5.

Maya Reimers and Comport took the floor with 9.9s, just ahead of teammate Randi Cutolo, SCSU’s Alexandra Avendano, and Morant who all had 9.875s. Allie DiBiase scored a 9.4 for RIC’s best score of the day.

Reimers won the All Around with her 38.925, Campbell scored a 38.75, Brown’s Jorden Mitchell and Morant both had a 38.625. DiBiase had a 37.050 and Miranda Murphy, also of RIC, scored a 33.625
