PISCATAWAY, NJ- The Rutgers Scarlet Knights scored a 194.200 Saturday night as they hosted Nebraska, West Chester, and Brown. The visiting Cornhuskers posted a 196.050, Brown ha a 190.650 and WCU a 190.475 in the night’s action.
Ashley Lambert of Nebraska won Vault with a 9.875. Her teammates swept the next 5 places as Megan Schweihofer flew to a 9.85, Jennie Laeng and Taylor Houchin had 9.825s, Sienna Crouse added a 9.8 and Abbie Epperson posted a 9.775.
Brown’s Caroline Morant and Michelle Amoresano of Rutgers had their team’s respective best scores of 9.75. Libby Groden and Claire Jones of RU and WCU’s Majesta Valentine hit 9.725s.
On Bars, Crouse and Schweihofer took first with 9.825s just ahead of Epperson’s 9.825 and Lambert’s 9.8. Their teammate Danielle Breen and RU’s April Baker posted 9.775s. Morant had a 9.7 to lead Brown and Groden posted the same tally.
Jones of Rutgers took first on the Balance Beam with a 9.875 edging out Grace Williams of Nebraska and Makenzey Shank of RU with their 9.85s. Meghan Chan led WCU with a 9.8, Breen hit a 9.775, and Valentine a 9.75. Morant had Brown’s best score of 9.675.
Lambert landed a 9.9 on Floor to win the event, with Crouse’s 9.875 good for second. Morant and Schweihofer acquired 9.85s as Epperson, Laeng, Valentine, and RU’s Jenna Rizkalla put up 9.825s.
Lambert’s 39.2 won the all around, Schweihofer had a 39.125, Morant a 38.9725, Groden a 38.925, Houchin a 38.45, Valentine a 38.175, and WCU’s Selena Swanger had a 38.025.
Jones explained after the meet she had been returning from injury so this meet was her first back on Floor. This added some more firepower to the Scarlet Knight lineup.
