Gymnastics: Towson, Bridgeport, Brown at New Hampshire

DURHAM, NH-Sunday was a busy one in college gymnastics as The University of New Hampshire Wildcats welcomed in the Towson Tigers, University of Bridgeport Purple Knights, and the Brown University Bears. When all was said and done, UNH took the win scoring a 195.550. Towson picked up a season high 194.575, Bridgeport a season high 194.525, and Brown scored a 192.150.

Elizabeth Mahoney of UNH won Vault with a 9.85. Her teammates Erin Carroll and Jennifer King each scored 9.7s as did Kimberly Stewart of Bridgeport. Mary Elle Arduino and Tyra McKellar of Towson as well as Hope Tralli of UB hit 9.675s. Diana Walters and Corey Holman led Brown with 9.55s.

New Hampshire’s Danielle Mulligan won the Bars with her 9.925. McKellar picked up a 9.875, Jennifer King of UNH, Kelsey Campbell and Christine Liautaud of Bridgeport, and Walters all had 9.85s. UNH also set a season high on the event with a 49.125. Towson had also had a season high of 48.675 season high as did and Brown which picked up a 48.775.

Kelsey Aucoin of UNH held steady on Beam with her 9.925. Towson’s Gabriella Yarussi and Bridgeport’s Brianna Comport each had 9.9s. Casey Lauter of UNH and Arduino scored 9.875s. Holman and Regan Butchness were Brown’s best scorers acquiring 9.725s. Towson set their season high of 49 on beam as well. Bridgeport also scored a 48.725 for their season top score.

Comport’s 9.875 was first on Floor, edging her teammate Ajiea Hargrave and UNH’s Danielle Doolin who each obtained a 9.85. Meghan Pflieger flipped to a 9.825, Towson’s Cortni Baker led her team with a 9.8 and Brown’s Jorden Mitchell was first among Bears with a 9.8 too. Towson’s 48.65 team score was a season high, and Brown’s 48.325 was as well.

McKellar won the All Around with her 39.050. Doolin was second with a 38.85, and Campbell third compiling a 38.725 on the day.
