In WJBL action The Kawasaki Red Wave defeated the Nagoya Antelopes twice over the weekend. On February 28th it was a blowout win 82-70, on March 1st, it was a much closer 74-70 victory.
On the 28th Mio Shinozaki led the Red Wave with 23 points. Moeko Nagaoka put up 15 points 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Rui Machida tallied 13 and Megumi Shinohara 12. Yoko Nagi chipped in 10 as well.
For the Antelopes Kaede Kondo and Emi Kudeken each scored 14. Nozomi Amatsu and Hitomi Suzuki acquired 9 points each, and Suzuki led the team with 7 rebounds. Mori Mutya picked up 8 points.
On March 1st Nagaoka led the team with her 18. Ai Mitani had 15, and 2 blocks. Machida netted 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Shinozaki scored 11 this time, and Shinohara blocked 2 shots.
Kondo’s 23 points was the highest among Antelopes. Kudeken scored 12, Mutya 10, and Suzuki 10.
