Halla opened the scoring when Sanghoon Shin was fed a pass and had a relatively open net. Later Mike Testwuide knocked it over Dragon goaltender Alex Westlund at point blank range. Ki-Sung Kim would accomplish a similiar feat later in the game for Halla’s next goal.

On a Dragon power play Kosuke Takahashi scored their only goal. Later Halla’s Ki-Sung Kim fell down but knocked it by the keeper all the same. Anyang tallied their fifth point when Min-Woo Lee swept in, was stopped by Westlund, but fought for the rebound and put it past him despite two Dragon defenders being present.

Goal number six came when Jeff Dimmen put it in through a screen and the seventh was nutty as Sang-Jin Park stole it from the goalie as he tried to play the puck behind the net. Park swiftly skated around and deposited the puck. The final goal of the game came when Yoon-Hwan Kim picked up the rebound of a Testwuide shot and launched it in. The final result Anyang Halla 8, China Dragon 1.

Halla goalie Matt Dalton made 9 saves after facing only 10 shots. Westlund on the other hand gave up the 8 goals on 46 shots, before being pulled halfway through the third in favor of Pengfei Han who faced 4 shots and made 4 saves.

Halla recently defeated the Nikko Icebucks twice. 6-1 on the 8th, and 4-2 on the 7th. They remain on top of the Asia League with 92 points.
