By David F. Pendrys [Gymnastike Video Coverage]

PISCATAWAY, NJ- On Saturday evening, the Rutgers Club Gymnastics team hosted two teams who had once had varsity teams of their own, URI, and MIT, as well as an RUCG alum. MIT arrived with four gymnasts and competed with three. URI brought a full lineup, and RU had two entire rotations full of gymnasts. The event went slightly differently than a varsity meet would have, each team member had the opportunity to do two vaults if they wished, and the teams rotated in a different order. The meet was held in the practice gym and it was a tight fit for the gymnasts and the many fans who turned out. As the teams are club teams and fun is generally is the priority, the skill levels varied from basic skills to high level double backs and the like.
