SPRINGFIELD, MA- Lauren Pocius set a new school record on the Uneven Bars for the Pride as they welcomed Brown into Blake Arena sunday afternoon. Her 9.675 topped a record she had tied that had held since 1993. The visiting Bears scored a 192.825 and SC a 181.075 in the overall competition.
Brown’s Diana Walters won every event but Floor posting 9.8s on Vault and Bars as well as a 9.775 on the Beam. Teammate Caroline Morant and Michelle Shnayder both had 9.8s on Floor to win that event. Shnayder also posted a 9.7 on Vault and a 9.725 on Beam, plus Tori Kinamon had a 9.725 on Bars to round out the scores at 9.7 or above for the visitors.
Pocius earned 3rd with her record edging most of the Brown team. Kristin Feliu’s 9.525 on Vault was her team’s best score. The team had a really rough time of it on beam, but they rebounded on Floor, as Pocius scored a 9.6 among several higher scores.
Walters also took the all around with a 39.050, Shnayder trailed her 38.875. Pocius scored a 37.1 on the day.
