NEW HAVEN, CT- Bridgeport traveled up 95 to emerge victorious in a quad meet at Yale this Saturday. The Purple Knights posted a 192.275, topping Brown’s 191.075, Southern’s 188.65, and the host’s 187.125.
On the Vault, UB’s Melissa Doucette scored a 9.825 edging Brown’s Rebecca Freedman and her teammate Kamri Riles, they each had 9.8s. Jenny Kaufman was Southern’s best finisher thanks a 9.725.
Lisette La Fex of Bridgeport swung to a 9.8 victory on the Bars as her teammate Amber Hill finished second notching sa 9.725. Diana Walters of Brown was third. Brianna Chrisman of Yale and Jennifer Rochefort of Southern each had the top score for their teams.
Brown’s Caroline Morant defeated the always treacherous beam scoring a 9.8. Meghan Cole had a 9.75 for Southern, and Brittany Sooksengdao and Morgan Traina of Yale each had 9.725s. UB had a rough day on this event though walk on Brianna Comport posted their best score of 9.675.
Bridgeport’s Caitlin Perry and Riles shared first on Floor though with 9.775s. Morant and fellow Bear Michelle Shnayder had 9.725s as did La Fex. Camilla Opperman of Yale and Nicole Pruchnik of Southern led their respective teams with 9.675s.
La Fex took the All Around compiling a 38.65, Morant was second though not by much with a 38.45.
