NEW HAVEN, CT- In Ivy League Action Sunday the Penn Quakers defeated the Yale Bulldogs 191.525 to 187.900. Penn’s Dana Bonincontri took the All Around with a 38.850 as well as Vault and Beam wih 9.8s as well. She also shared first place on the Uneven Bars with teammate Kirsten Strausbaugh when they each scored a 9.7. Strausbaugh won the Floor scoring a 9.825 as well. Strausbaugh also placed second in the all around posting a 38.200.
Yale’s Tara Feld took second on Vault with a 9.775, and second on Floor scoring a 9.750. She and teammates Morgan Traina, and Lindsay Andsager all shared 9.625 on the Uneven Bars good enough for second. Traina was the top Yale scorer on Beam thanks to a 9.775. Feld also had a 37.9 in the all around for third place.
Yale’s Brittney Sooksengdao scored third on Vault after posting a 9.650. Penn’s Amber Hu scored a 9.575 for third on Bars. Penn’s Elyse Shenberger was third on Beam when she scored a 9.675. On Floor, Kaitlyn Reszkowski and Bonincontri each placed third flipping to 9.550 each.
Penn will be back in New Haven February 23rd when the Yale Bulldogs, host them, Cornell, and Brown in the Ivy League Championship.
