NEW HAVEN, CT- In a meeting of New Haven’s two college gymnastics programs, Yale took the win 190.825 to 187.900 on senior day. As Talis Trevino and Mia Yabut were honored the Bulldogs took on the Owls.

Yale’s Tara Feld took Vault with her 9.7 edging Yabut, and SCSU’s Rebecca Brady. As a team Yale posted a 47.375, and SCSU a 46.9. Over on the Bars, Lindsay Andsager led Yale and the meet with her 9.8 Morgan Traina had a 9.775 for the Bulldogs and SCSU’s Kirby Palis took 3rd with a 9.75 for SCSU. Joyce Li notched a 9.725 for Yale too. Yale posted their best team score of the day with a 48.350. SCSU had a 46.75.
On the Beam, Traina’s 9.775 and Li’s 9.725 led the way. Jessica Kiback posted a 9.7 for SCSU. Yale had a 47.8, and SCSU had their best score of the day posting a 47.3 thanks to Kiback, Alanna Laecca and Meghan Cole’s core performances, despite counting falls.
Finally on the showcase that was floor, Feld flipped to a 9.825, and teammate Stephanie Goldstein had a 9.7. Brady scored a 9.625 to lead her team and take third. Yale overall posted a 47.3, and SCSU a 46.95.
In the All Around Traina’s 38.575 led Li’s 38.350, Cole’s 37.8 and Feld’s 36.125.
