BRIDGEPORT, CT- The UB Purple Knights hosted their lone home meet of the season and welcomed in the UNH Wildcats. Each team is working towards their own post-season, with UNH vying for Regionals bids, and Bridgeport building towards USAGs and beyond.
Monica Mesalles of UB took 1st on Vault with a 9.875, Chelsea Steinberg of UNH had a 9.825, and her teammate Ali Carr had a 9.8. Carr took 1st on the Uneven Bars with a 9.85, Danielle Reibold of UNH had a 9.8, and their teammate Katie Lawrence added a 9.775.
On Beam, Steinberg’s 9.875 led the way, Mesalles was second with a 9.8 as was her teammate Emily Repoko. Lawrence had the third highest score of 9.775. And on Floor Mesalles scored a 9.9, Jessie Watts from UB a 9.875 and Steinberg had a 9.85. Steinberg posted a 39.3, and Mesalles a 39.250 in the All Around.
UNH has two meets the coming weekend, and UB had two more meets in this weekend alone.
