PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers picked up the third highest score in team history Saturday when they scored a 194.150 in front of the home crowd and a slew of alums. Bridgeport in their second meet of the weekend scored a 191.850. Division 3 Ursinus scored a 182.425 as well.
Monica Mesalles of UB took first on vault scoring a 9.875, Luisa Leal (Maria Luisa Leal-Restropo) of Rutgers scored a 9.85, and Maddie Zwiebel and Alexis Gunzelman of RU scored a 9.625. On the Bars, Leal scored a 9.825, Danielle D’Elia of Rutgers had a 9.725 and Emily Turik of UB did as well. Sunny Gerlach and Alyssa Straub of RU, and Leah Goldberg of UB had 9.7s.
On the Beam, Leal’s 9.825 was first, Mesalles posted a 9.8, and Emily Repko of UB a 9.775. On the Floor, Leal had a 9.875, D’Elia and Mesalles had 9.825s, and Nicole Romano and Kiah Banfield of Rutgers each had 9.75s. In the All Around Leal’s 39.375 edged Mesalles and her 39.075. Gunzelman scored a 38.75.
