CHESTNUT HILL, MA- It is embarrassing to say that due to a confluence of errors regarding directions and reading traffic signs I missed the first set and most of the second set, thus this report will be short. When I arrived in the small volleyball gym inside the historic Comte Forum, Boston College was already leading Hartford 1 set to 0 and was working towards winning set 2, eventually doing so with a 25-16 score.
The Hawks would prove to give the Golden Eagles a scare though as they came back to win set 3 narrowly. 22-25. Set 4 was close for awhile though BC pulled ahead, only to have Hartford mount a comeback, that was eventually stopped and the Eagles took the set and the match.
I may revisit the highlights I do have at a later time, but I did want to make mention of one. As Boston College was attempting a return, the ball sailed off a dig attempt and towards the team bench. A BC player dived towards it, knocking over a chair in the process and getting the ball back into play so her teammates could return it.
