Of the teams focused on by this site, Rutgers was the only one I didn’t see in person as they opened their season down in Piscataway, but a glance at the scores shows it appears that the Scarlet Knights are back in the swing of things posting a 189.05.

Their top five scores on Vault ranged from 9.475 to 9.625. On bars they only had five gymnasts but still had Latara Northcutt lead the way with a 9.675 in what was their lowest scoring event but still all right. Beam had it’s ups and downs but Maddie Zwiebel had the top team score of 9.65. On floor Rutgers counted no lower than a 9.4, and Danae Johnson had a 9.725 followed by Nicole Roser’s 9.675, Banfields 9.65, and Northcutt’s 9.5. Northcutt also scored 38.2 in the All Around.

Rutgers opponents included George Washington who scored a 191.625 to win the meet against the resurgent Knights. William and Mary picked up a 185.725, and Penn scored a 184.45. The Quakers only had five gymnasts on two events suggesting injuries may be a factor.
