The week ahead.

Here’s what’s happening in New England and New Jersey collegiate gymnastics for the weekend of the 16th through through the 18th

+ Rutgers travels down to D.C. for the GW Invite which includes William and Mary, Temple, Cornell, North Carolina, and naturally George Washington on Friday night.

+ New Hampshire travels to Pittsburgh to take on the fellow EAGL team in a quad meet as Air Force will be in town and Bridgeport starts their season on the road in Western Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh scored 191.675 last week and New Hampshire scored 191.575 and Air Force and Bridgeport aren’t slouches either. Could be a close one on many levels this Saturday.

+ Yale’s at Penn this Saturday afternoon opening up Ivy League competition. Yale had a decisive victory early last season and a narrow one later, but Penn topped them at ECACs so it could be a close one as well.

+ Southern Connecticut and MIT join Ithaca in traveling to SUNY Cortland for what should be an exciting regional quad on Saturday.

+ ECAC Division 1 champion Towson travels up to Providence to take on the Brown Bears as both teams open their season on Sunday.

(More in depth previews will be posted in future weeks once the teams get a few meets behind them.)
