記者：據(jù)報(bào)道，日本、俄羅斯和美國(guó)等太平洋沿岸國(guó)家的海軍官員參加了在南京舉行的西太海軍論壇工作小組會(huì)，為4月在青島舉行的西太海軍論壇年會(huì)奠定基礎(chǔ)。請(qǐng)發(fā)言人進(jìn)一步介紹有關(guān)情況。
Question: According to reports, delegates from Japan, Russia, the US and other Pacific countries attended a workshop of the Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS) in Nanjing to prepare for the biennial meeting to be held in Qingdao in April. Can you give us more details?
吳謙：1月16日至18日，中國(guó)海軍在南京承辦西太平洋海軍論壇2024年工作小組會(huì)，會(huì)議采取線下和線上相結(jié)合的方式展開，論壇23個(gè)成員國(guó)和7個(gè)觀察員國(guó)約70名代表參會(huì)。此次會(huì)議就論壇《章程》修訂、《海上意外相遇規(guī)則》使用情況、成立無人系統(tǒng)議題研究工作組并由中方擔(dān)任協(xié)調(diào)國(guó)等10項(xiàng)議題，進(jìn)行了友好、坦誠(chéng)、建設(shè)性地研討交流，形成一系列初步成果，并將提交論壇年會(huì)審議表決。
Wu Qian: The PLA Navy (PLAN) hosted the workshop of the Western Pacific Naval Symposium in Nanjing from January 16 to 18. The meeting, with both in-person and online participation, was attended by about 70 delegates from 23 WPNS member states and 7 observer states. The delegates had friendly, candid and constructive discussions on 10 subjects including the revision of the WPNS Business Charter, the use of the Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea (CUES), and the establishment of a working group on unmanned system studies, with the Chinese side as the coordinator. A number of preliminary deliverables were agreed and will be submitted to the 19th biennial meeting for deliberation and vote.
今年4月，中方將在青島舉辦第19屆西太平洋海軍論壇年會(huì)。同時(shí)恰逢人民海軍成立75周年，海軍還將舉行系列活動(dòng)。
China will host the 19th WPNS biennial meeting in Qingdao in April. Since the timing coincides with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the people’s navy, the PLAN will also host many other activities.
